Victor Davis Hanson

Biography

Victor Davis Hanson is a senior fellow at the Hoover Institution. Hanson is a respected author and reviewer whose writing has been published in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, the International Herald Tribune, and The Washington Times. He regularly appears in National Review Online.

Tackling contemporary culture as well as Greek and military history, Hanson has authored or edited over a dozen books, including Warfare and Agriculture in Classical Greece and The Immigration Solution: A Better Plan Than Today’s.

Hanson holds degrees from the University of California, the American School of Classical Studies, and Stanford University. He serves on the editorial board of City Journal, and on the board of the Claremont Institute. He was awarded the National Humanities Medal in 2007.
