Wendy Hamilton

Biography

Wendy Hamilton is the current MADD national president, and is continuing to radicalize the organization. She has led the push for ever-lower blood alcohol concentration limits based upon the belief that “impairment begins with the first drink.”

Expanding MADD’s attack on responsible adults, Hamilton in March 2004 announced a new campaign mandating zero tolerance for divorced and separated parents.

Hamilton has also led the effort to publicize the government’s “You Drink & Drive. You Lose.” program, which emphasizes inefficient roadblocks and multimillion-dollar PR scare campaigns. These tactics have little effect on truly drunk drivers, but do frighten responsible adults out of drinking outside the home.
